Exquisite collaboration between art and nature

The launch of the Poets and Painters exhibition on the evening of Friday 28 July, and the first of a series of poetry readings on Saturday 29 July have been outstanding successes.

Over three hundred people attended a packed Moonah Arts Centre, to view the breathtaking paintings and hear the poetry read by the authors themselves. There is still time to view the works, with the exhibition continuing at the Moonah Arts Centre until mid-August before moving back to the Bett Gallery. All works can also now be viewed online at the Bett Gallery website.

The exhibition has been accompanied by the publication of the book Poets and Painters – Celebrating The Big Punchbowl, designed by Lynda Warner, which was in hot demand both on opening night and at the poetry readings the following day. The book will be officially launched at the Melbourne Writers Festival on 3 September at 11.30 am, and will feature as part of the Tasmanian Readers and Writers Festival.

Don’t miss out on this exquisite collaboration between art and nature.
