The new TLC look and website has arrived!

Welcome to the new TLC look and website!

Dear friends,

I am writing to tell you about some exciting developments for the Tasmanian Land Conservancy.

The strategic plan review we have conducted with your input is helping to set the course for the next five years. It has highlighted the key focal points for the TLC during that period:

Conservation is our absolute number one priority
More people need to know about the work we do
The TLC must be innovative to be effective
With these points at the forefront of our mind, and after much planning, we are delighted to announce the launch of the new TLC logo and website.

The TLC has grown from humble beginnings. We have a solid record of accomplishment built on years of effort and input from many, many supporters for which we are so very grateful.

The world in which we operate has changed enormously in the last 14 years since we started. We now have the ability to share our conservation work in a variety of ways and across more platforms than we ever dreamed imaginable. It’s an enormous opportunity and with a measurable strategic plan, a high-functioning, highly regarded and highly skilled team, we can communicate our conservation successes in an entirely new way and to new audiences.

To reflect the growth of the TLC, our much-loved eagle has been restyled and our website redesigned so that it can function well across all of the new devices and platforms. Our new logo captures the upward movement of our conservation goals, it holds the bird’s eye view critical to our landscape-scale conservation plans, while framing and focussing in on our goal – the protection of threatened habitats, species and unique places. That’s exciting!

Alex Miles, who designed the new website and logo, is a highly regarded Tasmanian graphic artist, and our web developer, Dominic Whittle, is one of Tassie’s best emerging new developers. We would like to sincerely thank them both for all their effort, time, generosity and good humour.

We would also like to thank our fabulous community of nature photographers without whom we could not communicate the importance of our conservation work and the incredible beauty of nature.

Lastly, but by no means least, we wish to thank everyone who has given input or suggestions along the way.

Please look at the new website and let us know what you think.

And thank you all so very much for your ongoing support!
