28.02.2024 • Our team has been hard at work with annual weeding programs in full operation including many of our newest reserves, as well as the delivery of our long-term ecological monitoring program across the reserve estate. Over the past six summers, dedicated volunteer teams have contributed over 450 days of work removing invasive weeds from the TLC's beautiful Five Rivers Reserve and Interlaken properties, in Tasmania's Central Highlands. We estimate that together, we have removed more than 1,000,000 weeds!
Benefits that images of our wild places have upon us are now being prescribed by Dr Mark McCoid, who has supported Tasmania’s unique species and their habitat by purchasing framed photographs of TLC reserves to hang in his practice.
We acknowledge that each of our dedicated volunteers has their own unique story about what motivates them to give their time so selflessly. Binding them all, however, is a shared understanding of the imminent need for direct action for nature conservation.
